So..you're bumfuzzled ? Don't worry ( ♫ beeee happy) your colleague was a bit of nincompoop.
I learnt English from a company famous for its advertisements in the Parisian metro. I have a vocabulary of forty-five words, rarely more than three syllables, which is the entire Anglo-Saxon vocabulary. Thanks to that, my chefs take me for a real Londoner, they who are still wondering what Brian is doing in the kitchen with his umbrella. My subordinates, who can't know any more than me, I send them to piss off cheerfully, taking them for sub-shit. Be like me, be limited!
You're obviously not familiar with role-playing and the second degree. Your level of English cannot be measured by the amount of time you spend in school or by how much you spend on private tutoring. (Especially since if you started English in nurcery/preschool with Dora the Explorer, 11 years of classes is up to Year9/8th grade. Not the most impressive thing, right?) Passing the TOIEC is much more ego boosting.
A se demander si la VDM ne serait pas d'avoir eu à vérifier et donc de douter de soi-même. Ou tu voulais dire que tu lui as montré preuve à l'appui qu'elle avait tort ?
