Today, I learned that when you tell an employee with anger issues that he’s had too many sick days due to being hungover, there's a high chance you will be hoisted off the ground by your shirt front and thrown into a drainage ditch full of stagnant water and a dead fox. FML
Today, I woke up to my partner showering me with love and gifts. Confused, I asked, "What's the occasion?" It was our anniversary. Not only had I forgotten, but I'd also scheduled a gaming marathon with friends for the entire day. FML
Today, while trying to score a date, I almost made a girl pass out. No, I didn't try to chloroform her, I just came across as so pathetic that she laughed hard enough to have an asthma attack. FML
Today, I was on a one day business trip to America, literally, one day, I didn’t even need a hotel, just straight back to the airport. I woke up in hospital, an AMERICAN hospital, because I got a blood clot from the flight and needed surgery. The bill is astronomical and I’m uninsured. FML
Today, I was on my period, so I felt a little emotional, and asked my boyfriend for some attention. He said he needed ten minutes to finish his game with his friend. I laid down on the floor and started crying hysterically. He broke up with me and left. FML
Today, my phone alarm went off at 3 AM. I don't remember setting it, but it turns out I'd somehow activated an old "Wake up for a meteor shower" reminder. Despite it being the wrong day by months, I got up, looked outside, and only then did my brain kick into gear and I realized it was set for the wrong date. FML
Today, my best friend is mad at me for "letting my paranoia ruin her relationship." I've been telling her for months now that I don't trust her boyfriend's female best friend, but she never listened to me. Guess who I caught in bed together a few hours ago while my best friend was at work? FML
Today, they're pumping out the septic system in the building next door. I'm three months pregnant, suffering from morning sickness, and can smell everything within a three-mile radius. FML
Today, one of my twin sons found out he's going to be a dad. His little sister who loves science ended up telling him that, since he has a twin who is genetically identical, he's genetically the baby's dad too. My son, being a bit dim, took this to mean his brother slept with his wife and hit him. FML
Today, I worked my job then went home to enjoy my weekend. An hour later, I was called and told I was fired, without any reason given. I can’t even empty my locker, as they'd said they would mail my things to me. FML
Today, I was at a coffee shop, trying to get to know the cute new barista. I wanted to compliment his nice eyes, but I got nervous and blurted out, "You have nice elbows!" He stared at me, confused, as I quickly grabbed my coffee and left. Now I can't even imagine going back there. FML
Today, I tried to blow my girlfriend's vegan parents minds by cooking them a tofu stir-fry. Being allergic to tofu but wanting to prove my cooking skills, I wore gloves and avoided touching my face. Somehow, I still managed to get it in my eye, causing an allergic reaction that made my face swell up like a balloon. Now her parents think I'm some sort of Martian. FML
Today, I learned my boyfriend has been going to our attractive female next door neighbor’s house without telling me while I'm at work. He claims it’s “because her house has AC and we don’t." FML
Today, while I was walking to my car, I was mugged. Not only did they take my phone, wallet and watch, the extra few minutes taken in my journey meant that when I got to my car, I was given a parking ticket. FML
Today, I gave a housewarming gift to my new neighbor, a cookbook titled "Quick and Easy Meals for the Busy Bachelor." He thanked me awkwardly and later mentioned that he and his husband have been married for ten years. FML
Today, I was in the "getting to know you" phase of dating a guy I recently met. We were talking about our families and I mentioned my dad died when I was young. He blurted out, “So, we get to have some of that kinky daddy issue sex then, huh?” I’m not sure if he was joking or not but still… FML
Today, I was having lunch with a friend when I went on a rant about how much I really dislike my boss, ranting about all his annoying habits. After a long tirade, my friend looked at me awkwardly and said, "You do realize he's my uncle, right?" FML
Today, I had a fight with my sister. Back when I was a chubby teen, I was made to wear a woman's panty girdle and hated it. She used to taunt me with slogans like, "Is your girdle killing you?", "Can you believe it's a girdle?" etc. Today she yelled, "Don't bust your girdle!" It's been years and the bitch still won't let up. FML
Today, I was meal-planning for the week, and sent my fiancee a grocery list with the stuff I needed. She ignored the list and bought nothing but junk food. I guess we can just eat cookie dough and sugar cereal, and die of diabetes in our fifties. FML
Today, I made a new friend at my college campus, which was great, until I added him on Facebook and he started liking posts from 3 years ago, asking if he could be my "dirty little secret" because he knows that I have a boyfriend. FML
Aujourd'hui, ma fille de trois ans me dit : "Tu sais Maman, tu peux mourir. Tant qu'il y a Papa et Tata, ça me va." VDM
Aujourd'hui, j'ai croisé ma copine dans la rue. Elle était avec deux amies. Elle m'a présenté comme étant son grand frère. VDM
Aujourd'hui, en regardant mes photos d’enfance sur l’iPad de mon père, j’ai découvert la raison du divorce de mes parents, de celui avec ma belle-mère, et des pratiques sexuelles étranges qu’adore mon père apparemment… VDM
Aujourd'hui, je pars en vacances avec mon copain et sa mère. Dans la location il y a deux chambres : une avec un lit double, une avec un lit simple. Belle-maman a pris le lit double, et on s’est entassés dans le lit simple. VDM
Aujourd'hui, je regarde des mangas à la Fnac avec ma copine. En en voyant un avec une couverture osée, je lui lance : "Regarde les seins énormes qu'elle a, celle-là !" Un mec à côté de moi m'a répondu : "Ah, oui, en effet." Ma copine, un rayon plus loin, a bien ri. VDM
Aujourd'hui, on frappe à ma porte et j’ouvre à deux gendarmes. On a déposé plainte contre moi car je laisse mon cheval mort dans son pré, à la vue des passants. Ce n’est pas de ma faute s’il dort toujours au même endroit et à heure fixe, pile au moment où l’amie des animaux anonyme rentre du travail. VDM
Aujourd’hui, mon père m’a informé qu’au lieu de faire un discours pour le vin d’honneur de mon mariage, il allait plutôt faire un solo de batterie. Il était complètement sérieux. VDM
Aujourd'hui, la fille que j'aime depuis des années m'invite au resto, en tête à tête. Fou de joie, j'accepte sans hésiter. Je ne m'attendais pas à être une simple excuse pour lui permettre d'espionner deux de nos amis, qui étaient en date dans ledit resto. VDM
Aujourd'hui, je me délecte de manger les restes d'un poulet rôti fraîchement décongelé. Après l'avoir fini à moitié, je découvre des choses blanches étranges. C'était des asticots. VDM
Aujourd'hui, canicule. La moitié du parc pour enfants et les jets d'eaux sont condamnés pour la future fan-zone des JO. Sur le petit espace restant, trois agents de sécurité nous ont chassé du banc ombragé que nous occupions pour nous renvoyer en plein soleil. Nous étions en "zone technique." VDM
