I ride horses competitively. I love any animal and read books like an addiction. I've been training a thoroughbred (race horse, of course no longer on the racetrack) for jumping work for a year now and I love him more than anything even though he likes to give bucking fits when I ask him to actually work. I'd spoil him more if my coach would let me;). We are now entering shows together and he is doing great!
